Introduction: Delicious Stuffed Okra Veggie

Okra, also known as ladies' fingers has been my favourite vegetable since a child. A warm vegetable, having nutrition benefits; good source of minerals and rich in vitamins. The veggie is high in antioxidants and fiber, which makes it healthy. So here's the recipe of Stuffed Okra followed for generations in my family. Happy Cooking!

Supplies

1) Okra (Ladies' fingers)
2) Chopped Garlic
3) Chopped Chilies
4) Olive Oil
5) Spices ( Asafoetida, Turmeric, Red chili powder, Gram flour, Coriander powder, Cumin powder, Chaat masala powder, Salt)

Step 1: Wash the Okra Veggie Properly and Keep It to Dry

It is essential to clean any vegetable thoroughly before use

Step 2: Chopping

Cut the okra in medium size and make a slit in the middle, don't cut it all the way through. This slit will be helpful for stuffing the spices. Also remember to remove and discard the ends of the veggie.

Step 3: Prepare the Mixture

Take a bowl and add all the spices in proportion to taste.
1/4 spoon Asafoetida
2 spoon Turmeric
2 spoon Red chili powder
1spoon Gram flour
1 spoon Coriander powder
1 spoon Cumin powder
1/2 spoon Chaat masala powder
1/2 spoon Salt
Mix well and then add 2-3 drops of water to form a dry thick mixture of all the spices.

Step 4: Fill the Okra With Mixture

The prepared mixture is ready to be filled and stuffed in the slits of okra. Open the slit a little bit, add the mixture and press it to stick together. Raw stuffed okra is ready.

Step 5: Heat the Pan

Take a pan and heat it on the stove. Add some olive oil to the pan. Then add chopped garlic and chilies. Sauteed them till the garlic turn brownish.

Step 6: Cook Well

Add the prepared okra in the pan. Sauteed it well. Let it cook for 10 mins on low flame with a lid on top, mix well, keep for 10 mins more. Total cooking time 20-25 minutes. When the okra turns a little dark and soft, it is cooked well. Voila, stuffed okra veggie is ready!
