Introduction: Drill Storage Rack and Charging Station Made From PVC (Cheap/Quick/Easy/Effective/Fun)
I made this from a re-purposed Ikea desk (upper shelf unit) and Schedule 40 PVC Pipe (2 inch diameter).
Why? To declutter the workbench and charging area! And with the power strip I can charge all batteries/other devices with a flick of the switch!
Also I elected to paint the the PVC holsters, which is totally optional. I went with black and electric green just for fun (#team Ryobi), but that turned into more work than it was worth. It seems PVC must be treated with acetone and sanded, oops. This was obviously done before attaching to shelf.

Materials:

8 @ ½ inch wood screws
Construction adhesive or glue
Step 1: Cut PVC Pipe
Cut into 6 inch segments. Then I cut out gaps with miter saw, 5 inches long, and 2.5 inches wide (measured along the outside circumference of pipe)
In other words I kept a 1 inch segment of pipe at the back intact. I think this adds strength and durability, but perhaps not needed? This worked for me, but I'm sure there are alternatives.
Step 2: Attach PVC Holsters to Shelf
Position on shelf with gap centered and intact portion at back. Test layout with your tools. Use painters tape if needed to test alignment/configuration. You could even leave them in position with tape to mark hole locations with a marker, then pre-drill holes. Use 1/2 inch wood screws (or appropriate length for your application) to securely attach.
Step 3: Attach Hose Bumpers
Cut hose into 5 inch (plus a few curly hairs) lengths. Cut along the straight lines using snips. Place about a dime size of adhesive in hose and slide into position along pvc edge.
Have Fun!

Last tip:
For mounting power strip and battery chargers on wall. Use painters tape on back of power strip and battery chargers to make a template by marking mounting hole locations. Then simply move that piece of tape to desired wall location and install screws...boom!
