Introduction: Dry and Go
Hate the smell of sweaty wet shoes? This small and effective shoe dryer aims to get rid of those problems. This shoe dryer uses a PC fan and car vent fresheners to create a constant flow odor fighting scent throughout the shoe.
Step 1: Materials
For the build you will need:
3D printer
90mm PC fan
Soldering Tools
Flex Seal
Air Fresheners (for car vents)
Drill and screws
Gorilla Glue
Step 2: Step 1: Fan Assembly
The first step to creating your shoe dryer is making a working fan. For this project you'll want to take a 90mm PC fan and solder it to a 9volt to 12volt outlet adapter. Once you have soldered the two together, cover the wires with electrical tape for safety.
Step 3: Step 2: 3D Printing an Air Flow Tunnel
The next step is to begin printing 3D parts for your shoe dryer. The first piece you're going to print is your airflow tunnel which will push the air from the fan to the Air Freshener. Download the stl file and print this part on standard settings. In 4 hours it should be finished printing.

Step 4: Step 3: 3D Printing Air Freshener Clip
The next item you're going to print is the Air Freshener clip which will connect the split tube and the air tunnel. Download the stl file above and set your 3D printer settings to standard. The print should be done within 2 hours.
Step 5:
The final part you're going to need to print is the split tube which go in your shoes. Download the stl file above and use excellent settings if you're printing this on XYZware. This should take about 6 hours to print.

Step 6: Step 5: Drill Holes in the Air Freshener Clip
To be able to replace the air freshener you need to drill holes in your 3D print. Line up the split pipe with the air freshener clip and drill screw holes 3/4ths of the way through then simply add small screws to attach the two parts.
Step 7: Step 6: Sealing Your Design
To make sure air isn't escaping cracks or holes in the split pipes you'll want to coat the exterior with flex seal. This should make it more durable and less likely to lose air
Step 8: Step 7: Connecting All the Parts
The last step is to connect the Fan, Air Tunnel, and Air Freshener Clip together. To do this line the bottom of the Air Tunnel and Air Freshener Clip then stack all 3 together.
