Introduction: EMT Conduit Trellis
I made an Arbor out of 3/4" EMT Conduit. While I was making it, I messed up a piece by bending the radius a little too small. The arbor worked well and it inspired me to use the messed up piece to make a smaller trellis version. I made a video of the steps. This was much quicker and easier than the arbor.
Step 1: Tools and Materials
The only specialty tool I used on this project was a conduit bender. I also used a drill, a phillips screwdriver and a multitool.
The materials needed are (3) 60" sections of 3/4" EMT conduit, (2) 3/4" set screw conduit connectors and about 20 feet of 16 gauge galvanized wire.
Step 2: Drilling and Assembling
After bending the top conduit piece, to the shape I wanted, I connected the two leg pieces using the conduit connectors. I then drilled some holes big enough to pass the wire thru, from front to back. I then laced up the wire thru the holes and twisted the ends of the wire to hold them on.
Step 3: The Video I Made of the Project
As always, thanks for viewing and enjoy.
