Introduction: French Toast Recipe
Try this easy recipe for homemade French toast! Spoil yourself with a quick, sweet or savory delicious breakfast dish.
White Bread - 200 grams
Five Eggs
Milk - 250 ml
Salt - 1 tsp
Butter (or oil) - 100 grams
Step 1:
Slice 200 grams of stale bread into 1cm (0.5 inch) thick slices.
Step 2:
Mix 5 eggs, a flat teaspoon of salt and 250 ml of milk.
Step 3:
Heat 25 grams of butter (or oil, or clarified butter) in a heavy bottomed pan. Dip the dried bread into the milk-egg mixture for 10 seconds on each side.
Step 4:
Place the bread slice onto the hot pan. Fry the French Toast until golden brown on one side, then flip to brown the other side.
Step 5:
