Introduction: Electronic Component Lead Bending Tool (Matchsticks)
Electronic component lead bender tool is very useful for electronics enthusiasts like me. This Instructable is a part of my Unusual Uses of Matchsticks (you must check it out!). Did you know that matchsticks can do the job even without a professional tool from the electronics stores? Well, yes matchsticks can be your tool for bending some electronic components by simply following my method. Sometimes, when prototyping an electronic circuit I am always bending electronic components in random measures, in a result, I got messy circuit setup on my breadboard. You can use the number of matchsticks to determine the size you want to bend.
What are you waiting for? Jump to the next step!
Step 1: What You'll Need
Here's what you'll need...
- Matchsticks (of course...)
- Matchsticks Box (as expected...)
- Electronic Component (e.g. Resistor)
Obviously, you'll need a matchsticks and matchsticks box. Also, some electronics component that you're going to bend.Oh yeah! Go ahead to the next step!
Step 2: Bend an Electronic Component
To bend an electronic component's lead, get matchsticks box and some matchsticks. Follow the image one for the correct setup. See the image two for which the electronic component to be placed before bending it. I know this is little difficult to do but you can use this method to easily and quickly to bend electronics component in a case in the middle of nowhere and you have one box of matchsticks with some electronics components. Please check the photos for a more detailed guide on how to bend the electronic components using only a matchsticks.
Step 3: That's It!
Congratulations! You have now acquired a skill from me! Matchsticks master lol... Anyway, what we've learned this time is by using only a matchsticks we can now use it to bend some electronic components quickly and easily. I will not recommend this if you have a proper tool to bend an electronic component. Got it? Don't waste your time to use this method if you have proper tool or other more useful than this. This is actually a part of my unusual uses of matchsticks.
