Introduction: Extension for Whatever DJ Software You Want!
Not everyone can just hop into DJing day one and be expected to have all the mixers and turntables and hot cues pad ready on day one, but let's be real here: mixing on a laptop sucks. That's what this is for, to solve all your financial concerns regarding the equipment you'll need to be a real badass on stage, and it's so easy even a titan can do it!
Supplies
Step 1: Assemble the Circuit
Yep, the circuit's just that. So easy~
Step 2: Assemble the Box
Now assemble the box you'll put the circuit in.
Make sure your box fits your circuit board and breadboard, and remember to leave a hole on the side for the USB cord to connect to you laptop.
Or alternatively you can just take a preexisting box you own for this step.
My box measures 22 x 17 x 5 cm
Step 3: Assemble the Device
Put the circuit board and breadboard in the box and cut out holes on the top for the buttons.
Refer to image if you need to (I trust your observation skills though)
Step 4: Input the Code
Now open up Arduino and input this code
You can change the hotkeys in the code to whatever function you want the device to control.
Step 5: Decorations
Optional, but who wants to mix with an ugly device?
I simply wrapped paper around the box and labeled the buttons but if you're up to it you can paint the box and put RBG lights on the side. The sky's the limit!
Step 6: It's Show Time!
Press and hold the SHIFT button to switch controls between tracks.
Now get out there and do your gig!
