Introduction: Flannel Nightgowns
My mother-in-law gave me some of her flannel sheets that she didn't need anymore (she had moved from Virginia to Florida). Not needing them myself, I decided to use them to make nightgowns as a surprise for my three daughters. They thought the gowns were pretty special since they were made from something of Grandma's. My mother-in-law has since passed away so the gowns are even more special now.
I sewed them on my trusty Kenmore using Simplicity pattern #3586. The gathered neckline and ruffle at the bottom were new techniques for me. I was very pleased when they turned out actually looking like the picture on the pattern envelope. :-)
