Introduction: Follow Me Robot OR Object Follower Using Arduino
Hello I'm Ganesh.. As name said the Robot follows any Object it may be Human or Anything. I made this Robot using User friendly Microcontroller that is Arduino uno, You can use any other version of arduino also. I also have a youtube channel where you can see the process of making it in the video (link below). so let us get started
Step 1: Collect Required Components
1) Arduino uno
3) Gear Motors and Wheels (4x)
5) Servo Motor
8) Battery
9) Male and Female Jumper wire
10) Acrylic Sheet or Wooden Cardboard
Step 2: Make the Base or Chassis of Robot and Mount the Motors
Make the chassis using acrylic sheet or Wooden CardBoard (if you have readymade one then no problem you can skip this step). I have Given all the Dimensions in the Above Picture you can follow that.
After Get Ready with the chassis now mount the motors on it using Hot Glue or may be Nut and Bolt arrangement, i'm here used Double Gum Tape it is strong and easily removable. .
Step 3: Mount the Arduino and Motor Driver on the Body
Step 4: It's Time to Upload the Code
connect the usb to Arduino and select port in the pc, Download the given Program and upload .

Step 5: Connections
Now connect as per Circuit Diagram.
Be careful while connecting and If you have Doubt please Cross Verify with code
Step 6: Make the Attachment for Ultrasonic Sensor
As shown in the Picture make the Attachment , here i'm used Foam sheet, you can make with Acrylic Sheet also.
Now attach Ultrasonic and ir sensors .
Step 7: Connect the Battery and Now the Robot Is Ready
After completing all the steps the common errors or problems may Arise
To Troubleshoot that Follow the below steps
1) Calibrate the IR sensors
2) Check the Motor Direction and Fix that
3) Make sure the Connection as per the Code or Circuit Diagram
