Can you say Ultimate Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich?? In this instructable, I will teach you how to make the Fools Gold Loaf. This is the ultimate Peanut Butter, Jelly, and BACON sandwich. This sandwich was made famous by Elvis Presley, who used to fly to Denver Colorado just to order it. The sandwich was also featured in the movie "What If" with Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter). If you have any questions or comments put them down below and I will get back to you as soon as I can. Follow the easy steps below or watch the short video tutorial or do both!

Ingredients:
- 1 Long loaf of French Bread or Sourdough Bread
- 1 Jar of Creamy Peanut Butter - 16 ounces
- 1 Jar of Grape Jelly (Original uses Blueberry Preserves) - 16 ounces
- 3 or 4 Tablespoons of Margarine
- 1 pound of Thick Applewood Smoked Bacon (or your favorite kind of bacon)
Tools:
- Bread Knife/Knife
- Baking Sheet
- Spatula
Step 1: Slice Bread in Half
First we will preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Next we will take our loaf of bread and cut it in half lengthwise. Then with our hand we will scoop out some of the extra bread in the middle for each half, making a long bread dish or canoe.
Step 2: Spread and Bake
Now we spread on the margarine on the bottom and tops of the big slices of bread, then place them on a baking sheet and then they go into the oven for a few minutes, just until the butter is melted and it gets a little toasted.
Step 3: Cook the Bacon
Now my favorite step. We cook the bacon. Mmm bacon. Gotta love bacon.
Step 4: Prepare the Sandwich
Once the bacon is cooked, we add our peanut butter to one side, and our jelly to the other side. Then add the whole pound of bacon. Cut and serve! Apparently Elvis could eat one of these entire sandwiches himself in one sitting! Pretty crazy!
