Introduction: Gingerbread With a Chance of Frosting

When you have a craving for gingerbread cookies and some frosting and you can't find any mix, just use my recipe and mix some things up!

My recipe is going to show you how to make some ginger bread cookies with frosting. So go ahead and pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit(or 180 degrees Celsius).

Supplies

Flour, Ginger, Cinnamon, Cloves, Nutmeg, Baking powder, butter (unsalted or salted), Light brown (or dark brown sugar), Granulated sugar, 2 eggs, Vanilla extract, Grandma's molasses, confectioner's sugar, milk, 2 and a 1/2 sticks butter. and grounded Pink salt.1 cup, 1 Tablespoon, 1/2 teaspoon, 1 teaspoon, 1/4 cup, 1/2 cup, 1/4 teaspoon, 2/3 cup, 1/3 cup, parchment paper, spraying olive oil, 25 by 75 inch pan, and a cutting board.

Step 1: Spice Time

First, you are going to put 2 1/4 cups of flour into a big mixing bowl.

Next put 1 tablespoon (yes, I said a tablespoon) of ginger.

After this you are going to add 1 teaspoon cinnamon ,1/2 teaspoon ground cloves ,1/2 teaspoon nutmeg ,and 1 teaspoon of baking powder.

Stir.

Step 2: Melt and Mix

If your butter isn't at room temperature, melt the butter in the microwave for 30 seconds. If the butter isn't all the way melted after 30 seconds, keep it how it is and whisk it.

Next add to the butter - 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, 2 eggs, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 2/3 cup Grandma's Molasses, and 1/4 teaspoon grounded pink salt. Mix the wet mixture into the dry mixture.

Step 3: Needy Kneeding

After you mix all the ingredients together with a spatula, wash your hands.

Remove the dough from the bowl.

Put some flour on your hands and on a cutting board.

Kneed it for a little bit so that it is not too hard and not too soft.

After you kneed the dough, you must roll it out with your hands.

Choose a big cookie cutter and cut it.

Step 4: Spray the Paper

Add a sheet of parchment paper to match the size of the pan.

Spray it with olive oil.

Put the cookie cut-outs on the pan and bake for 15 minutes.

Step 5: Frosting Time

Now it is frosting time!

Pour 1 1/3 cup confectioners sugar/powdered sugar into a bowl. Add 1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla extract and stir.

Next, add 1 tablespoon of milk and 1 1/2 sticks of butter at room temperature. Mix it all together. If you want it to be chocolate frosting, add 1/4 cup cocoa powder.

When you are finished you will have yourself some delicious "Gingerbread With A Chance Of Frosting".

You can add some food coloring if you like but the frosting will be really runny, so be sure to add an additional

1/4 cup of powdered sugar.

Step 6: It Is Time for the Gingerbread With a Chance of Frosting!

Now that you have the frosting, you can either frost it with a tip and a piping bag, or you can just frost it with a knife.

It is now officially "Gingerbread With A Chance Of Frosting"!

I hope that you had fun 'cause I did. Ha Ha Ha.
