Introduction: Glowing Wall Art From Recycled Jacket
I wanted to enter this contest and I enjoy making things that hang on the wall. I also like to recycle old unused items and give them a new purpose. So i figured why not take an old jacket that wasn’t being used and transform it into Illuminated Wall Art

Supplies
Staple gun, stretched canvas, LED lights, an old jacket or t-shirt. (screwdriver, screws, double sided tape optional)
Step 1: Choose Your Canvas
Choose your canvas.
If you want a specific size you may have to put a few together like I did.
Since i am going to cover with a jacket i wanted to have a long skinny rectangular canvas.
I put two 12 inch by 12 inch canvas together using two screws.
Step 2: Cover the Canvas
In this step you need to use your design material to wrap the canvas.
Staple around the edges to hold your wrapping in place.
I wanted to reuse the jacket so decided to not cut off any excess material.
I tucked the hoodie inside the zipper and turned the sleeves inside out.
This made them disappear from view but they can be left out if you want.
Step 3: Add the Lights
String the lights around the inside in whatever pattern you seem fit.
I used some double sided tape to hold my lights stationary.
My LED lights are color changing, but you could use any kind of LED.
Feel free to get creative. The double sided tape is recommended but not vital.
Step 4: Display and Admire
Now that you have finished your project, take time to admire your work.
This doesn’t have to hang up, I just don’t like empty wall space because I am an odd fellow.
Also this one is reversible as you can see, you can display with front or back showing.
So leave the hood and sleeves tucked in or let them just hang, zipper up or down.
You can also still hide stuff in the pockets as an added bonus.
