Supplies

Soba Buckwheat noodles, Red Quinoa, Millet, Farro, Barley, Tricolored Quinoa, Wild Rice, Red Popcorn, Yellow Popcorn

White Canvas, Clear Gesso, paint brush, and Grains and Rice listed above.

Step 1:

Play around with the grains and rice first to see how they come together. Prep canvas with Gesso. Pour Clear Glue on Area canvas you are working on and Add Grains/Rice. Let dry. I also drizzled the clear Glue over the entire picture when finished. I felt the Soba Buckwheat noodles were great for the Boardwalk, Fence and tree trunks. The Millet and Red Quinoa were used for leaves and Yellow Backdrop. The Tricolored Quinoa was used for pebbles around boardwalk area. Farro and Red popcorn used to add shadow lines and Stone wall effect. The Black Wild rice was used for shadow effects around the boardwalk and along tree line.
