Introduction: Hawk Paper Airplane
In this instructable, I'll show you how to build the "Hawk", a paper airplane of my own desig that glides fast and smooth, and generally looks swag. Remember to smooth out the folds as much as possible to get a better airplane. It's fairly easy to make, and there's always room for decoration! Have fun and like/follow. Also vote if it's in a contest! Thanks!
Step 1: Materials
All you need is a ruler and A4 sheet of paper! (for better efficiency, the ruler should be close to one inch wide)
Step 2: The Starting Arrow
These first five folds start out like you would fold any airplane.
Step 3: The Fold-Ins
Just fold in the flaps as shown in the pictures.
Step 4: Folding Out
Fold the two corner and then old out the main flap.
Step 5: Wings and Wingtips
Fold the assembly in half and fold the wings, using the ruler at the back top and front bottom to guide you. Then put the bottom of the ruler by the bottom of the wing at the end and fold the rest that's sticking out. Do the same for the other side.
Step 6: Final Word
Your pane is now almost done! Just ensure that the flaps are at a 90-degree angle from the wing. Also, make sure that the back wings are about 20 degrees hanging below the first wings. Throw it just like you would with any delicate airplane. Forcefully throwing it will make it swoop down and crash the moment it leaves your hand. Note: this paperplane cannot fly well with even a slight breeze, so it's better to use indoors, and always sharpen the nose of the plane before throwing it again! Have Fun!!!!!
