Hello my namer is KORG, and here I will show you how to make me using clay and rocks

Step 1: Materials.

  • a lot of Stones.

  • Aluminiun foil.

  • Polymer Clay.

  • Brown Eva foam sheet.

  • Tape.

  • Scissors.

  • Oven to bake.

  • Red leather (Optional)

  • Heat Gun (Optional)

  • Carving tools (Optional)

Step 2: About KORG

KORG is a Kronan warrior who hung out on Sakaar and was forced to participate with the Grandmaster's Contest of Champions. Upon meeting Thor, Korg helped him escape from Sakaar with the Hulk and help from Valkyrie, they defeat the threat of Hela. Having gained the victory, Korg and Miek joined the Asgardians in their journey towards the Earth following Ragnarök.

thanks to his characteristic design we will manufacture korg combining clay with stones.

here is a few references of KORG

Step 3: Bust Base

A bust is a sculpted or cast representation of the upper part of the human figure, depicting a person's head and neck, and a variable portion of the chest and shoulders.

for the base of the bust we will use aluminum to give it stability.

make a ball and cover it with more layers forming the basic figure of a bust,
the head, the torso and a base that gives stability.

Step 4: The Clay

We will use the polymer clay bars to cover our figure.

you can find a lot of brands and colors.
check HERE

I will use the default gray color. works great on this project.

Step 5: Covering

Now we will cover our figure, if you have sculpting tools you can use them to soften the clay
and give the shapes more softness.

Step 6: Covering All

A good trick is to cut small pieces of the clay bar and then crush them with the sculpting tools.

Step 7: The Head

Using clay try to create facial features,

They do not have to be perfect, since the stones will then begin to deform it, so it is better to correct the shape according to the march.

Step 8: Stone Cladding

Now we will select the stones according to the shape and the part where we plan to place it.

you can find the stones in various places, such as rivers, or cement plants, specialized construction sites as well

Step 9: Placing the Stones

Now it is time to place the stones, we will have to select according to the character's references to form a balanced sculpture

Step 10: The Eyes.

for the eyes I found some small blue and white rocks. when combining them you can create the colors of Korg's eyes.

Step 11: The Chest Strap

We will take the tape to create a mold that will serve as a guide for the center piece of the chest.

Step 12: Chest Strap Mold

now pass the mold to the foam and cut it

Step 13: Pauldron

now we cut a piece of aluminum to make the mold from the shoulder pad.
we will pass it to the foam and cut it.

Step 14: Details

With the tip tool, we will make some small details on the foam, this will give a more realistic appearance to the shoulder pads and the crossed chest belt.

if you have a heat gun, you can apply a little heat to bring out the details more.

Step 15: Circle Detail.

We will cut out 2 circular pieces of leather foam, if you want to add shine, we will add a small drop of hot glue.

Step 16: Bake

here it is

after baking at 125°C for 20minutes at we already have a collector's item.

Use an electric or traditional gas kitchen oven.

*remember to follow the steps recommended by the manufacturer.

*the specifications of each sculpting clay may vary.
