Introduction: Homemade Gopro Gimbal
This is a 2 axis gimbal that is for a gopro. It will cost roughly $50 - $60.
Step 1: Materials
the items that you will need:
1. Gopro
2. kk2.1 board
3. 2 micro servo's (the blue one)
4. 1 large servo (the black one)
5. Lots of popsicle sticks.
6. Servo arms (you will need 2 white servo arms, and one black star servo arm)
7. (not required, but highly recommended) anti-vibration plate
8. Of course a quadcopter

Step 2: Assembly
Make 2 arch like shapes out of popsicle sticks. Then put the 2 micro servo's on the bottom in between both of the arches. After the 2 micro servos are in place make 2 blocks the same size as the servos, because you will need 2 spacers on the top part of the arch. Next put two popsicle sticks together with 4 small reinforcement pieces on the bottom so that the two popsicle sticks stay together. Attach the black servo arm, to the top of one arch of the gimbal. Next glue 4 popsicle ends together and then glue them to the top of the 2 popsicle sticks(make 2 of those). Then attach the 2 white servo arms to the 2 popsicle ends that were just made. Be sure that the popsicle ends are the right distances apart for them to fit snuggly between the two micro servos. You will now need to attach the black servo to the rest of the gimbal, and attach the servo to the frame.
Note: you may want an anti-vibration plate for the gimbal to go onto so that you don't get a jello effect in your video.

Step 3: Changing the Settings on the Control Board
Once you go to the menu of the kk2.1 board, scroll down to the camera stab. settings. Then enter the values shown in the picture above. Next plug one micro servo into port 7, then plug the large servo into port 8. All that is left to do is to test it out and change the settings to make it work how you would like.
