Introduction: Hoverboard Motor Becomes a Hand-cranked Generator!

In this project I will show you how to turn a motor from an obsolete hoverboard into something quite useful. We will be building a hand-cranked generator with it that can charge up a powerbank in emergency situations. Along the way I will show you how such a motor works, how we can modify it and how we can turn its AC output voltage into smooth 5V DC for our powerbank. Let's get started!

Step 4: Build the Circuit!

Here you can find the schematic for the project along with reference pictures of my finished board. Use them to create your own circuit.

You did it! You just made your own hand-cranked generator!
