The predator was a character in a 1995 movie staring Arnold Schwarzenegger. The predator is also known as a Yautja and it is a monster that is not real and it hunts for sport. I will show you how to draw the head of the predator, but why would you want to draw a predator? You would want to draw a predator because when you are done you can show your amazing drawing to all of your friends and family.
Supplies
-Paper
-pencil
-eraser
-sharpener
-a hard surface
-and a snack of any choice
Step 1: The Lower Mouth
Put the piece of white paper on a hard surface and make sure that your pencil is sharp with the sharpener. Take your sharp pencil and put it on the bottom portion of the paper and draw a 30 degree line to the left and it should look like this.
Step 2: Lower Mouth
Put your pencil on the higher end of the 30 degree line and draw a semicircle with the bottom of the semicircle facing down and then mirror the 30 degree line and when you are done it should look like this.
Step 3: Mandibles
after you have finished the last 2 steps we are going to be starting on the mandibles. Put your pencil on the left bottom corner of the 30 degree line and make a semicircle and on the left corner of the semicircle. Then draw a 70 degree line upwards as long as you want your mandible to be. At the top of the 70 degree line draw a semicircle like the bottom one then you will connect the 2 semicircles to together and mirror the same thing on the other side once you are done it should look like this
Step 4: Side of the Mouth
Take your pencil and put it on the left mandible and on the left side of it and draw a curved line bending into the mouth and draw it how ever tall you want your predators mouth to be. Do the same for the other side of its mouth and once you are done it should look like this.
Step 5: Top Mandibles
Take your thumb and put it at the top of your curved line and make sure that your tip of your thumb is pointed directly away from your right mandibles. Trace your thumb all the way up to your knuckle on your thumb and once you are done that at the top of it, draw a semicircle like the last one and once you are done it should look like this.
Step 6: Top Mouth
We are going to be starting to draw the top of the mouth, it is going to be a lot like the lower mouth. So once you are done the 5th step, take your pencil and put it on the top left mandible and the lower corner of the mandible and draw a 30 degree line down wards. After you are done that you are going to draw an arch that attaches to the 30 degree line that is down wards and make it as long as the lower mouth. Now mirror the last 30 degree line on the end of the arch. Now mirror the first top mandible on the end of the 30 degree line that you just drew. once you are done it should look like this.
Step 7: Lower Teeth
Now we are going to start with drawing the teeth on the lower mouth. Now take your pencil and put it on the lower semicircle and put it almost on the edge of it and draw a straight line up, but do not make it long and do the same thing on the other side of it, then connect the 2 lines together with a straight line. Once you are done that draw 4 teeth how ever you want them to look, be creative! Once you are done it should look like this.
Step 8: Top Teeth
On the top mouth we are going to be drawing the top teeth. Right above the 4 lower teeth there should be an arch and below that draw 2 long bumps and on the tip of the bumps draw 2 long teeth. Have them tilted in at each other, but do not draw them to long, and be creative. Once you are done it should look like this.
Step 9: Mandible Teeth
For the right mandible we are going to draw a tooth for your predator. On the right mandible for its teeth, you are going to draw a tooth that looks like a hook with the tooth tilted in wards to the mouth. Do the same for the 3 other mandibles or you can make them how ever you want and once you are done it should look like this.
Step 10: Eyes/eyebrows
Now we are going to be drawing the eyes and you can design them how ever you want but this is what I would recommend. So for the eyes we are going to draw a oval that is tilted to the center of your drawing, and also do little circles on the middle so it makes him look scary. Now we are going to draw the eyebrows and thees eyebrows are going to be curved. Now draw an oval that has flat sides and put them on top of the eyes and make them curved and when you are done it should look like this.
Step 11: Forehead/Hair
Now we are going to be drawing the forehead for your predator and their head is pretty big. Now take your pencil and put it on the top left mandible and draw a big oval all the way to the top right mandible and that is your forehead. Now we are going to be drawing the hair. Now put your pencil on the lower part of your forehead and draw one dread lock pointing down wards and then draw more dread locks all around the forehead to cover the entire head. Once you are done it should look like this.
Step 12: Details
Now we are going to be working on the details of the forehead. First we are going to do he middle of the head, from the top, draw a line almost all the way down, once you are done that, draw a thick line all the way around the forehead. This will form the out line and shadowing of the head. Once you are done it should look like this.
As I love to draw, this is only one example of the characters I like. The great thing about drawing is the ability to follow instructions to get the basic shapes of the characters features. The artist has the ability to be creative and make it their own.
