Introduction: How to Get Shiny Hair

About: A place for insightful information on overall health, especially for the skin and hair!

When you have healthy hair growth, you should naturally have shine in the hair. The oils in the hair strand ensure the hair is protected and as a result, shiny. However, most of us end up damaging this natural protection by using popular shampoos on the market. Or, we aren’t looking after our diet and as a result, end up with poor hair quality.

This guide will help you address both internal and external factors to improve your hair’s natural shine.

Supplies

Egg

Apple Cider Vinegar

Coconut Oil

Beef Collagen

Vitamin B Complex

Step 1: Take Hydrolysed Beef Collagen Daily

The first step towards shiny hair is to ensure your body has enough resources to produce healthy hair. The building blocks of hair and skin are protein, specifically collagen, and taking hydrolysed beef collagen is the best way to do it.

As it's hydrolysed, it is easier for your body to absorb. Beef based collagen is also the most bio-available source of protein, so hardly any is wasted by your body.

You should be taking roughly 20g of collagen twice a day.

Step 2: Vitamin B Complex Daily

B Complex provides some of the most essential B-vitamins for all body functions. If you are deficient in any of these, your body will start to take resources from non-essential body parts like skin and hair and move them to the organs.

B-Complex helps build the nervous system, which allows you to better handle day to day stress induced inflammation. Inflammation is a big culprit of damaged hair, so preventing weak hair is the beginning of getting shiny hair.

Step 3: Apply Egg Yolk to Your Hair

Egg yolk is a great natural moisturiser and gives hair plenty of shine. You can use the entire egg or just the yolk – beat one egg in a bowl until it’s a nice yellow liquid.

Get your head over the sink and start applying thoroughly onto your hair.

Leave in for at least an hour before rinsing off.

Step 4: Apply Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar, or any type of vinegar for that matter, is great for decalcifying the scalp, but an added benefit is that it can give hair additional shine. Simply mix 1 part vinegar with 1 part water, a tablespoon of each is usually sufficient.

Mix and apply over the hair – this works great as a conditioner after shampooing.

Step 5: Finish Off by Applying Coconut Oil

Coconut oil itself works as a great oil to scalp massage for improved circulation and soothing inflammation on the scalp when applied regularly.

However, if you are looking for added shine, take 5ml of virgin organic coconut oil and apply throughout your hair after shampooing and conditioning to give a pristine finish.
