Introduction: How to Grill a Hamburger
Hi, my name is Aaron Toupal. I was hungry once until I learned how to grill. I am here to help people learn how to grill and become more comfortable with grilling food. Today I’m going to show you not only how to grill a hamburger but skills that you could use for basic grilling situations. I am going to show you the steps to grill a hamburger.
Step 1: Make It Into Patties
Thaw out your hamburger meat if it is frozen. I am going to be using 2 lbs of hamburger which will be making four hamburgers. You can make them whatever thickness you would like but then the cooking time will vary.
Step 2: Turn on the Grill
I am going to be using a Char-Broil propane grill, but you could use any grill that you prefer. So you turn on the propane tank and all of your valves so that you can ignite your grill. Once you have your grill started, shut the lid and let it warm up for about 3 minutes.
Step 3: Put the Hamburger Patties on the Grill
Bring the hamburger patties out to the grill and before you place them on the grill make sure the grill has been cleaned. You could use a grill cleaner brush that you could find at almost every bigger retail store. Once the grill has been cleaned turn your grill down until it is at about 250 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 4: Season the Hamburgers
Spread seasoning over top of the meat right after you placed them on the grill. What I like to use is Lawry’s Season Salt and Lawry’s Garlic Salt, but you can use any seasoning that you prefer.
Step 5: Let the Hamburgers Cook
After you seasoned the meat let them cook for about 5-10 minutes then go and check the bottom side of the hamburger for a brownish color. If the hamburger is that color, then you can flip the hamburger onto the other side.
Step 6: Season the Hamburgers
After you flipped the hamburgers you should season the meat (with the same seasoning and used prior) again by spreading the seasoning overtop of the side that has cooked already.
Step 7: Let the Hamburgers Cook
After you seasoned the meat for the second time, let them cook for about 5-10 minutes then go and check the bottom side of the hamburger for a brownish color. If the hamburger is that color then you can take them off of the grill and shut the grill off.
Step 8: Go Enjoy the Hamburgers
If you have reached this step, then you can sit down with your friends or family and enjoy the hamburgers that you have just made.
