How to make PVC Wall Décor

If you are interested in a custom looking wall divider that can be made in your garage that costs more in time than it does in money, you might be interested in a PVC Pipe Wall.

Just remember that PVC is only a form of hard plastic. It can and will break if too much weight or force is applied and injuries can occur. Use of content for personal projects is at your own risk.

Step 1: Cutting the Pipe

Cutting the Pipe

I first started off with a 10 foot length of 2 inch PVC pipe.

I then cut it into 1 inch sections.

You can change the sizes as you wish to make your own design.

I obtained 120 pieces from the 10 foot pipe.

To cut the PVC you can use PVC Cutters or a chop saw.

I chose the chop saw because it was fast and easy.

But it is dangerous and makes a big mess.

So please be VERY careful if you choose this process.

Also make sure to wear eye protection and a breathing mask.

Step 2: Assembling Pipe

Assembling Pipe

You need a form box to align the pipes to the shape that you wish.

I used a solid wood box that I had made for a previous project.

I then laid out a large white sheet of paper to protect the box.

Then I started gluing each piece together with some Heavy Duty Clear PVC cement.

Here is a link to that cement on Amazon (affiliate link):

I let the glue dry overnight and then started to peel off the paper.

Step 3: Finishing the Project

Finishing the Project

The paper removed with ease but left a little glue residue in places.

But I was able to cut it off easily with a pocket knife.

Please be careful if you use this process.

The great thing about this project is that you can modify it as you wish.

You can make a half room divider, a full wall, huge customized decor, rag hanger, tool station, custom lattice board, or even a dog barrier.

This wall decor is pretty strong and won't fall apart easily if glued correctly.

I hope you enjoyed this project.
