Introduction: How to Make Touch ON and OFF Circuit

Hii friend,

Today I am going to make Touch ON and OFF circuit using LM555 IC.When we will touch on wires of one side then LED will glow and when we will touch on the wires of another side then LED will be turn OFF and vice versa.

Let's get started,

Step 1: Take All Components As Shown Below

Components required -

(1.) LED - 3V x1

(2.) Resistor - 220 ohm

(3.) IC - LM555

(4.) Connecting wires

(5.) Battery - 6V

Step 2: Conect Pins of the IC

Solder Pin-4 and Pin-8 of this IC.

Step 3: Connect LED

Next we have to solder +ve pin of LED to Pin-3 of the IC.

Step 4: Solder 220 Ohm Resistor

Solder 220 ohm resistor between -ve pin of LED to Pin-1 of the IC.

Step 5: Solder Two Wires for ON

Next solder wires in Pin-1 and Pin-2 of the IC as you can see in the picture.

Step 6: Solder Two More Wires for OFF

Next we have to solder two more wires in pin-6 and Pin-8 of the IC as solder in the picture.

Step 7: Connect 6V Power Supply Wire

Solder +ve wire of Power supply to Pin-8 and

-ve wire of battery to Pin-1 of the IC as shown in the picture.

NOTE : Give 6V Input Power supply.

Step 8: Circuit Is Completed

Now our circuit is completed.

How circuit is working -

When we will touch wires of Pin-1 and pin-2 then LED is glowing and For Turn OFF of the LED we need to touch wires of Pin-8 and Pin-6 of the IC.As you can see in the pictures.
