Introduction: How to Make a Braided Headband

About: Doesn't matter If it's a recipe, a craft, or a project, I love everything that's simple and quick.
Every girl has those days where their hair just doesn't seem to want to cooperate. Those days where your bangs won't hang the right way, when you just can't smooth that bump on the top of your head. So what are you supposed to do?

How about a headband?! Not just any headband though, one that's uniquely yours.

Step 1: What You'll Need

You'll need...

- Scissors
- 2 kinds of fabric - one pattern, one uni-color
- A hair tie

(ignore the beige piece of fabric - not needed)

Step 2: Preparing the Fabric

After you've assembled your materials, you'll need to measure out the length of your headband. Wrap the fabric around your head and leave about 2 inches on each end from where you would tie the fabric.

Using this length, cut out 2 strips from the patterned fabric and 1 from the uni-colored one. Then lay out the fabrics so the uni-colored one is sandwiched between the patterned strips.

Tie a knot at the top, but make sure to leave 2 inches.

Step 3: Braiding and Finishing Up

Put the knot under something heavy so it can stay in place. I used my computer. A book would work too. Braid the fabrics together until  about 2 inches from the end.

Just like you did before braiding, tie a knot at the end of the braid. Remember to leave about 2 inches at the end.

Know that that everything's secure, it should resemble a braided rope. All that's left to do is put it on. Use a hair tie to attach the ends. Wrap the tie around so it's tied at the top of the knot.

Step 4: Final Product

Now say goodbye to your bad hair day!
