Introduction: How to Play "Seek and Destroy" by Metallia on the Guitar
Have you ever wanted to try playing the guitar? Look no further. "Seek and Destroy" by Metallica is an easy, but awesome song to learn for beginners. Learning to play is straight-forward, and easy to pick up with some practice. I hope you give it a try!
Supplies
Guitar (acoustic or electric), guitar pick, amplifier (for electric guitar, but not required), and guitar cable (also optional for electric guitar).

Step 1: Gathering Your Supplies
Gather your guitar (acoustic or electric), guitar pick, amplifier (for electric guitar, but not required), and guitar cable (also optional if using electric guitar)
Step 2: Tune Your Guitar
Tune the guitar to standard tuning, and if you’re using an electric guitar, plug it into the amp if you have one
Step 3: Begin Playing!
Start by plucking the open A string two times, while slightly muting it with your palm
Step 4:
Press down on the 7th fret of the G string with your index finger, and pluck one time downward
Step 5:
Hammer on the 8th fret of the G string with your middle finger
Step 6:
Pluck the G string on the 7th fret again downward, holding with your index finger, returning to the note played before the hammer on
Step 7:
Pluck the open A string one time downward, muting it again slightly
Step 8:
Press down on the 7th fret of the D string with your index finger and pluck downward once
Step 9:
Hammer on the 8th fret of the D string using the same fingers used in step 5
Step 10:
Return to the 7th fret of the D string and pluck it downward once, like in step 6
Step 11:
Move your index finger to the 5th fret of the A string and pluck once downward
Step 12:
Hold down the 8th fret of the A string with your ring finger and pluck upward
Step 13:
Use your middle finger to then hold down the 7th fret of the A string and pluck downward
Step 14:
Move your index finger to the D string and hold down the 5th fret and pluck once downward
Step 15:
Return to the A string and pluck the 7th fret one time upward while holding with your ring finger
Step 16:
Move your index finger to the 5th fret of the G string and pluck downward once
Step 17:
Hold down the 7th fret of the D string with your ring finger and pluck once upward
Step 18:
Repeat steps 3-17 4 times
Step 19:
Move to the 9th fret of the G string with your ring finger and pluck downward once
Step 20:
Pluck upward on the 7th fret of the G string once while holding with your index finger
Step 21:
Use your ring finger to hold the 9th fret of the D string and pluck once upward, keeping your index finger used in step 20 on the 7th fret of the G string
Step 22:
Pluck down on the 7th fret of the G string again while still holding with your index finger
Step 23:
Return to the 9th fret of the D string with your ring finger and pluck once upward again
Step 24:
Release the 9th fret and press down the 8th fret of the D string with your middle finger and pluck once downward
Step 25:
Release the 8th fret and hold down the 7th fret of the D string with your index finger and pluck upward
Step 26:
Slide your index finger quickly from the 7th fret to the 5th fret of the D string and pluck once downward
Step 27:
Repeat steps 19-26 two times, then start over with step 3.
