How to Tie Two Half-hitches and a Taut-line Hitch.

These are good knots to learn before you go camping.

Step 1:

Put your rope around a pole

Step 2:

Then cross the rope

Step 3:

Then circle it back through the loop.

Step 4:

Come through and put it around the taut rope and pull it tight.

Step 5:

And now you have two half-hitches.
This is used hold down a pole.

Step 6:

This is a similar knot but a little different it starts the same.

Step 7:

You wrap it around again but this time do it twice

Step 8:

Come through and put it around the taut rope and pull it tight

Step 9:

Now you have the taut-line
This is used to tie a tent down
