Introduction: How to Do Burn Makeup
This is my first Instructable, so bear with me. I'm going to show you all how to do some awesome make up that looks like you got your face burnt. It's pretty easy and pretty cheap.

Step 1: Supplies
Here's what you'll need:
Liquid Latex
Toilet Paper
A creme make up kit with red and black (You can probably find one at a local costume shop)
Q-tips
Brush (foam brushes work well)
Brillo pad
Baby Powder
Blush Brush

Step 2: Laying Down the Latex
The first and most important step is to make sure you or whoever you're doing the make up for isn't allergic to latex. This can be VERY bad if they are.
If you/they aren't, then start by laying down a base of liquid latex where you want the burns. For me, I did around the eyes. You can do this all over the face if you want.
If you or your actor's eyes start burning or getting cloudy, IMMEDIATELY wash off the latex and stop here. If it's all good, keep going.

Step 3: Adding Texture
Now while the latex is starting to dry, take some toilet paper and roll it into a thin line. When the latex becomes "tacky" (sticky to touch) press the toilet paper into the latex and allow to dry. You may also want to blend the latex with the skin a bit or create a rougher looking edge. Fancy people who can afford stipple sponges would use one here. Cheapos like me would use a Brillo pad. :)
Once it's dry, cover the TP with another coat of latex and let dry again.

Step 4: Makeup Time!
Now that everything's dry, start applying makeup. This is sort of improv, but you really want a nice red base to go on. So do some red makeup all over with touchs of yellow and black to give some depth.
Step 5: Finish It Off
You're almost there. Now, give everything a light coat with baby powder and a blush brush so the makeup won't smear.
