How to Make a Duct Tape Suit ( Pants, Vest, Top Hat, Rose).

Shopping for Clothes?  Why spend $30 on a pair of pants when you can make an outfit out of duct tape for less?

Step 1: Materials

You will need: scissors, about 5 1/2  rolls (462ft) of duct tape, a pipe cleaner, and a large smooth surface that you can tape to.

Step 2: Pant Legs

For the pants you will need to start by measuring the length and width of you leg. I did my pant legs in one piece so measure around the thickest part of your leg. Once you get the measurements add on a few inches to the measurement around your leg to make sure that the pant leg is at least a little bit baggy on your leg after you make it. After you've done that you can get started on making the pants. First, take a strip of duct tape about as long as the measurement you took for your leg length and stick it sticky side down as you can imagine to your smooth surface. Then, take a piece of duct tape the same length and stick down overlapping the first strip and just repeat  that process until it is about the measurement you took for around the thickest part of your leg.  Next,  rip it up from the surface carefully so that you don't wrinkle the duct tape and lay it back down sticky side up. Then, rip off some more tape and repeat what you just did only this time you stick the tape to it's self to make a slab  of no sticky showing duct tape. Finally, take your slab and wrap it around your leg like a tube and then tape it where it meets it's self in the back of your leg. Repeat this twice for two pant legs.

Step 3: Waist

For your waist you first need to measure around your waist and lower until you reach your crotch in both front and back. Then, you need to do basically the same thing I said to do on the last step which is double up your duct tape to the length and width you need. Next, you need to connect your pant legs and waist. All you have to do is first double up a piece of duct tape and tape it in between your legs. Then, put on your pant legs and slip on the waist. Finally, duct tape the legs in place on the out side  then take them off and tape them smoothly on the inside.   

Step 4: Vest

The first step for the vest is to measure from the waist on the front to the waist on the back, the width of each shoulder, and the width and length of your back. Once you have that you can make two strips of doubled over duct tape according to the measurement between your front and back waist over your shoulders and the width of your shoulders. Make two.next make a sheet of doubled over duct tape according to your back measurements.Finally, connect them. take some doubled duct tape and tape in the gap between the back and front. If that didn't make sense i meant your sides.

Step 5: Rose

For the rose you will first need to take a piece of duct tape about 3 inches long and fold one corner down and the the corner closest to it down then take it and wrap it all the way around the pipe cleaner and you just repeat until you have a flower as big as you want

Step 6: Top Hat

To make the top hat all that you need to do is get a measurement of around your head and have that be the width and then the length be around 7'' and there you go you got a super cool outfit
