Introduction: How to Make a Ford Belt Buckle

About: My life ambition: get a recipe of lasagna named after me.
The ladies love a man with courage and everybody wants something that stands out in a cool way! Well, the Ford Belt Buckle is the key to redneck success!

Step 1: Obtain a Ford Emblem

Go to your local junk yard. Bring a screwdriver or chisel to pry the emblem off of a Ford truck. Be sure to find one with the least amount of sun damage and scratches. Some junkyards may charge 5 or so dollars to remove one of these or sell it to you, so bring a few dollars in cash.

Step 2: Smooth the Back of the Emblem

Take a bit of sand paper, some pliers, or any other tools you feel will do the job to removing chunks of plastic and smooth the back out. We will be attaching a junk buckle to the back of the emblem, to be able to put it on as a belt buckle.

Step 3: Duct Tape the Back of the Belt Buckle.

Be sure to use the back and keep the hook and little belt loop doohickey free of tape. Leave an inch of tape hanging off of the left and right sides and maybe 1/4 inch on the top and bottom sides.

Step 4: Attach the Emblem and Buckle Together

Using the excess duct tape hanging on the sides, lay the buckle, face down, on the back of the emblem. Use the dull back of a knife or pair of scissors to crease the tape onto the emblem to bond the two. This will make sure that you don't walk around and have a dingling ford emblem from your belt.

Step 5: Attach the Buckle to Belt

Loop the loop-da-loop through the hole on the buckle. No explanation should be needed for this unless you have needed threaded a belt through a belt buckle. Just snap the buttons on and you are good to go. Thats it!

Step 6: Your Finished Product!

Now you have your finished ford belt buckle! Be sure to keep it out and tuck in your shirt to avoid awkward questions about what is the wide honkin piece of metal behind your shirt.

Step 7: Walk Around Like a Boss
