Introduction: How to Make Pill Earrings
You have some old pills left over from a surgery or some that are just really old, but are still colorful and interesting, or you want to make something for your girlfriend/wife/SO can remember their surgery and how bad the pain was afterwards?
Make them some earrings made from the left-over pills!
What you do is carefully pry the two halves apart and empty out the powder thats inside of them.
Then make a hole at the top of one and thread it into a head pin. I use a hot needle... if you drill the hole, the pill casing will crack, not what you want.
I weighed mine down with some small beads, you should as well I think, otherwise they are just too light and dont hang right.
Then glue the two halves together.
Here is the magic/key ingredient. Polyurethane Varnish. Coat the pills in the varnish so that the pills dont dissolve on your neck.
Wear them!
Thats about it. Sorry I dont have any pics of the making process, but here are some finished ones. I will get a full instructable up soon I hope, one that shows all the steps.
