Introduction: Infrared Alarm

About: student - Software Developer

Who does not like to be one step ahead of people, especially when they break into our room or even in a work area.

For example: A wet floor, planting, building.

This type of alarm turns out to be very effective and can be extended to the need of each person.

In this occasion I will show you how to make a small and precise infrared alarm, using the means of the current "Open Source" that we love so much.

Step 1: MATERIALS

  • Arduino Uno
  • Mini Project Board
  • PIR SENSOR HCSR501
  • Jumpers
  • Shoe box
  • Led Lantern
  • USB Type AB
  • Blue led
  • 150 ohm Resistor (X2)
  • Glue
  • Playwood
  • Black Spray
  • Buzzer 5V
  • Step 2: MAKE AND TEST CIRCUIT

    Sensor Pir
  • SIGNAL Pin 4
  • GND: GND
  • VCC: VCC +5V
    BUZZER
  • 5V: Pin 6
  • GND: GND
    BLUE LED
  • Positive: Pin 10
  • GND: GND
    Lantern Led
  • Positive: pin 12
  • GND: GND

Remember to use a resistance always on the positive pin of the LEDs

  • Step 3: BODY

We cut a piece of plywood the size of the base of our shoe box.

Put the complete circuit on the playwood.

Use screws or double-contact tape for the Arduino.

Open the holes in the box, Sensor, led and lamp, for this you may need to get longer cables.

We left an empty hole to hear the buzzer.

We open a hole to pass the USB cable of the arduino.

Put Glue where you need it.

Finally cover everything and apply black paint.

    Step 4: CODE

The SR501 HC sensor allows a detection range up to 7 meters and 100 °.

You can change the sound and flicker of the lights.

    I hope you enjoy it!
