U3 basically enables the user to run programs that have U3 capability (e.g. firefox) straight from your Sandisk cruzer, without having to install it on your computer.

Step 1: Materials

Things you will need:

1. A Sandisk cruzer micro (I'm not sure how to do it on any other device as this is the only one i have)

2. A. Computer

3. Access to the internet.

Step 2: Step 1

First of all insert your USB flash drive into an available USB port, then go to the website: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2007/05/24/reinstall-or-restore-u3-launchpad-software-into-usb-flash-smart-drive/ and click the link that says: SanDisk: U3 LaunchPad Installer (LPInstaller.exe).

Step 3:

A dialog box should pop up, click the button that says run.

Step 4: Step 3

Just click next to the next few dialog boxes and wait.

Step 5: Step 4

Click on the option that says Run U3 launch pad to setup you own personal setting for the U3 launch pad.

Step 6:

To download applications go to http://u3.sandisk.com/download/Download.asp
