Japanese Puffy Stars

I saw these on the floor of my third period class and thought they were really neat so I decided to make one. You're supposed to fill a jar with them and give them to your love but I just make them because they're neat.

There is a long list of materials so listen up.
1.a thin strip of paper
2.patience
3.a bit of skill
Is that enough for ya?

Step 1: The Star

First we tie a knot at the tip of the paper like in the first picture.
Then fold the small tab into the star (see second picture for example).
The last part is difficult to explain so here goes we will need to wrap the longer part of the strip around the star, and the fold the tip into the star.

Step 2:

You can even make little faces on them
