The final look

The materials you need are:

(6) plastic bottles

(3) push lights

Gorilla tape

pipe

(3) wood boards

screws

(4) wooden dowels

(3) produce bags

(2) screw in hooks

paint

thread

food coloring

water

super glue

Step 1: Making the Bottles

Get 6 plastic water bottles, cutting the bottoms off of 3 and the tops off of 3. Connect 2 of the bottles with bottom to top using Gorilla tape, repeat with the other 4 bottles.

Step 2: Filling the Bottles

Fill the bottles almost to the top with sink water

Step 3: Dyeing the Water

Using food coloring (the color of your choice), dye all 3 bottles a different color.

Step 4: Making the Jellyfish

Use a clear plastic produce bag and make a round pocket, tie it off with thread. Then proceed to cutting strips into the plastic below the head.

Step 5: Putting the Jellyfish in the Bottle

Then shove the head of the jellyfish into the top of the bottle. Carefully add some water into his head until it is about half full, then shove him all the way into the bottle.

Step 6: Making the Base

Take a board and cut it to the length of approximately 2 feet. Add two wooden dowels to either end of the board, secured with screws.

Step 7: Adding Hooks

Add one hook to each of the dowels by screwing them in

Step 8: Building the Box for Your Bottles

Cut a board, about 18 inches long and glue 3 pieces of cut tube onto it, all about 2 inches tall (this will hold the bottom of your bottles). Cut another board that will hold the lids of your bottles, and drill 3 holes for each of the lids to poke through. Build 2 sides for the box, cut a board about 22 inches tall. Add 2 more wooden dowels to the center of these boards using screws.

Step 9: Attaching the Base and the Box & Adding Lights

Place the dowels on the sides of the box into the hooks from the base. Then add circular lights into each of the pieces of pipe, securing them with glue.

Step 10: Attaching the Top and Adding Designs

Add all 3 bottles on top of the lights, into the plastic pipes. Place the top of the box on the lids and secure it into place. Paint the entire model into the design you want, in this case blue with green seaweed.

Step 11: The Result

Turn your house lights off and the bottle lights on, rotate the box and watch the jellyfish swim to the tops of the bottles!
