Introduction: K'NEX Dummy Guns
I never needed fancy K'NEX guns that actually shot when I was young. My guns fired bullets made of pure imagination. For those who don't want to bother going to great lengths to make a gun from K'NEX (and don't mind saying BANG to fire it), here's a collection of dummy guns, brought back from the far-distant past.
If you don't have an account, make one, as most of my instructions here will be on the pictures. I apolagize in advance for the number of pictures.

Step 1: The Basic Gun Body
The beauty of the design I came up with years ago is that the main gun body is universal. Build it, and you can adapt it to create just about any gun you can imagine.
The basic body consists of a central frame and a handle.
Step 2: Continuation of the Basic Gun Body
Here, we build the handle, and attach it to the frame.
Step 3: The Basic Barrel
This is the basic barrel. The rod on the bottom clips into the frame, and the top rod sits above it.
Step 4: Assembling the Gun
Assembly is easy.
Step 5: Gun Details
Now that the basic gun is built, make it look however you like.
Step 6: Special Barrels.
A gun with a different barrel is just as easy. Here are directions for making revolvers and double-barreled guns.
Step 7: Other Designs
This basic design gives birth to a plethora of different guns. You can attach a bunch of frame segments together to create bigger guns, too.
Remember, I never said these guns fire anything. You have to imagine a bullet or a laser or ten-billion Kilowatt bolt of lightning streaking from the tip of the barrel to your target. You can't miss.
