Introduction: Klingon Chocolate Gummy Qagh (gagh)
The perfect dessert for that Star Trek themed party! The "traditional" Klingon dish is made with live, poisoned worms...but this is a bit easier. And much better tasting.
You will need:
1 package of chocolate instant pudding mix
1/2 package of Cool Whip (thawed)
1 1/2 cups cold milk
ground cinnamon
ground chili powder
2 Heath bars (crushed)
Oreo or chocolate cookie crumb pie crust
1 large package of gummy worms (17 oz)
Whisk together the milk and pudding mix for 2 minutes. Stir in the Cool Whip and most of the Heath bar crumbles, saving about 1/3 of a bar for the top if you wish. Add in some cinnamon and chili powder to taste. I didn't really measure, just add a little at a time until it has an acceptable amount of zip. Personally, I really like chili chocolate, but since this was for a party I didn't make it too strong.
Pour the filling into the pie crust and smooth out the top. Starting at the outside, press one end of each gummy worm into the filling, and fill in the pie as if the worms are trying to escape. Dust the top of the pie with any remaining Heath bar crumbles and a little more chili powder and ground cinnamon. I also used some spicy hot cocoa mix.
Chill and enjoy!
