Supplies
- CO2 laser cutter (We used a Trotec Speedy 360 80W with a 2" lens)
- Aluminum cutting table
- 1 sheet Solid Wood 23.5" x 11.75" x 3/16"
- Laser masking tape (to cover the remaining area on the laser bed)
Step 1: Design
Send the job to the laser with the settings below.
*Print Settings
- Process Mode: Standard
- Resolution: 333 dpi
- Cut Line: None
- Halftone: Color
- Others: Enhanced geometries, inner geometries first
Note: We used only 333dpi resolution, because we needed less time for engraving.
Step 2: Laser Processing
Now make the parameter settings. Place the sheet into the laser device. Cover the remaining work area around the material to create vacuum. Then start the engraving and cutting process.
For a uniform look, you can also engrave the back of the plate. To do this, remove the cut shapes and place them back in the same position, back side facing up. Now you can repeat the engraving job.

Step 3: Assembly
Once processing is complete, remove the individual pieces from the laser. Insert the two pieces of the flower swing into one another. Place the circular support plate on top.
Hang the flower swing from the ceiling and decorate with a plant of your choice! This gift is perfect for Mother's Day, birthdays, and any other special occasion.
