Step 1: Tools & Materials
Below are the Tools and Materials that I used to make this beautiful multi-occasional poster.
TOOLS
- Scissor
- Cutter
- Pen
- Sketch pens
- Ruler
MATERIALS
- Plain chart paper (white)
- Color glossy paper (black, sky-blue, maroon)
- Aluminium rod
- Piece of Sun-board (or hard paper)
- String
- Wood glue (fevicol)
- Glue-stick
Step 2: Design the Base Structure
Before I jump into the making, I would like to say that all the color and design elements are chosen by me only. So, it's up to you that you use the same color and elements or choose your own customized color scheme and design shapes and elements. Its totally customizing oriented.
Here, I have used a White chart paper as base or backboard for our Poster. After that I Have added another layer of colored paper as different slides.
Basically here I used sky-Blue and Maroon colored glossy papers to make 3 sections in the poster. So, that different themes can be used in different sections.
Step 3: Cut Design Elements
Then is the time for choosing the pattern and design shapes and elements. Here I choose few theme related to dance, prosperity, celebration, freedom, royalty, etc.
You can choose your own, depending upon the person and occasion you are going to give.
Then, take print out of these images and cut precisely using a sharp cutter.
I found these images on Google. You can also search for more.
Note :Some of the images that I used are Stock images that may be subject to copyright, so do not use them commercially.
Step 4: Making the Top Slide
Now is the time for making the 3 slides.
In the Top slide I marked two Designed horses coming from both the sides that has their front foots risen upwards.
Then I have written "Happy Anniversary" letters in the middle of them.
Again, cut the markings precisely and then attach the paper slide to the top of the board using some Glue-stick or some Fevicol.
Step 5: Making the Middle Slide
Now is the time for making the Middle Slide.
Repeat the process of first slide to the next two slides.
Again, mark the design elements of these Dancing girls and the Dragon and cut the markings precisely and then attach the paper slide to the Middle of the board using some Glue-stick or some Fevicol.
Step 6: Making the Bottom Slide
Now is the time for making the Bottom Slide.
Repeat the process for the last slide.
Again, mark the design elements of these Champagne bottle and glasses and the Dancing couple.
Then, cut the markings precisely and then attach the paper slide to the Bottom of the board using the same Glue-stick or Fevicol.
Step 7: Making Slide Borders
After attaching all the slides, now is the time for adding some border to the slides.
For these I have used some Black colored paper and made a 1 inch wide border throughout the Poster. Now, it looks more clearer and separated along.
Step 8: Adding Supports
Next, I glued a long piece of "Sun-board" sheet at the Bottom Back of the Poster. This will hold the Poster straight and prevent the Poster from Bending or Rolling.
Step 9: Making the Hanging System
Next, our poster is almost ready. All we need is to add a structure to hold the Poster or Hang the Poster to the wall.
For this I have used a piece of Metal rod. It is duration but not so much heavy as well.
Then I wrapped it with some Black paper and inserted through the Top part of the Poster.
Next, I added some thin wire at both the ends of the metal rod and attached a "String" to it. So, our Hanging mechanism is ready too.
Step 10: Finishing Touches
Lastly, I gave some glowing effect to the Design elements so that it get some stand out look.
Here, I have used some yellow and Neon colored sketch pens to draw few lines around the corners of the letters and shapes and all the design elements.
Step 11: Finished Product
So, this is our final finished Product of "Personalized Anniversary or Birthday Poster".
This is a best occasion based Poster for anyone who is Creative enough to give a Handmade Gift to his/her loved one or to BFF or even to his/her Institute like me.
