Make a Smurf Out of Modeling Clay

I thought I'd give this a wack. This is my first instructable so try to be nice. I made this smurf for a friend and I never knew how to sculpt or shape anything. Its actually very simple when it comes down to it. I used a wire frame for the support structure and different colored clay for the inside of the little blue man. I decided to save some of the blue and white for another one but in the end the color from the filling layers spoiled the outside finish. This stuff gets everywhere.
