Introduction: Meta Bracelet

Meta - short for metamorphosis - was designed in Rhino 3D with the aid its plug-in's T-Splines and Grasshopper. The definition essentially allocates material based on the density of cells to make it stronger in areas of greater permeability on a two dimensional plane. Once the desired pattern is a selected it is then projected onto an ellipsoidal surface. The pattern is then used to split the surface and separate positive from negative which is then offset as a solid. The surface geometry is then extracted of its wireframe and used to generate the smooth continuous surface via T-Splines. The model was then converted from a Rhino file to an STL format and printed on an Objet 3D Printer.
