Introduction: Mini Pom Pom Wreath Ornaments

About: I am a conceptual artist, and my DIY projects are mostly inspired by pop culture (movies, music, sports, TV). I mostly specialize in painting, graphic design, drawing, digital photography, performance art, and…

Shrink the traditional wreath down to size for your holiday tree with this cute ornament project!

Step 1: Materials

To make these mini ornaments, you will need...

  • assorted pom poms (mini ones work best, but you can also use larger ones)
  • floral wire or gauge wire (you can also use a needle & thread to make life simpler)
  • scissors or wire cutters
  • ribbon
  • hot glue gun
  • baker's twine (or any other string)

Step 2: Prep Wire (or String)

To start, cut off a piece of gauge or floral wire. You can also cut off a piece of thread and tie to a needle.

Step 3: Thread Pom Poms

Once that's done, start threading your pom poms on the wire or thread.

Step 4: Make Wreath Shape

Then, bend the wire or bring the thread into a wreath shape, and tie off the thread, or twist the wire in place.

Step 5: Add a Bow

Next, come the final touches, starting with the ribbon. Cut off a piece of ribbon, tie it into a bow, and glue it to the front of your pom pom wreath.

Step 6: Add a String

Finally, you need to add a piece of string to the back in order to hang on your tree! So, cut off a piece of baker's twine or any other string you might have, tie it off on top, and glue it to the back of the ornament, and it's done!

Step 7: Done!

Now, you can hang it on your tree! You can also embellish your pom pom wreath ornaments with rhinestones, like how I did, when I made another wreath ornament; same concept, but with larger pom poms, and blue snowflake rhinestones!
