Introduction: Mini Taser/Shocker

Hello! In this instructable, I will be teaching you guys how I made my miniature taser / shocker. It is a very funny prank that you can use of your friends and family. The shocker will last a very long time and you will never need to replace the battery.

Disclaimer: I do not suggest shocking animals with this and I will not take responsibility for your uses of this item.

Step 1: Materials / Tools

You probably have most of these items already and if not they are very cheap to get.

-Empty lighter (Cant be the kind that use flint to create the flame) BIC Multi-purpose Lighter, 2 Pack

-M3 screws or similar

-Super glue or Hot glue (Having both of them is best) Gorilla Super Glue Gel, 20 g, Clear

-Project case (I printed mine but a Tictac case will work almost as good)

-Drill (This is optional if you are 3D printing your case)

-Heat shrink tubing or electrical tape (Heat shrink tubing will be easier to use)

Step 2: Take Apart Your Lighter

For our shocker we will need the part from a lighter that creates the spark. Most lighters will have a couple screws to open them up, you might need to pry the casing open with a knife once you get the screws off. Be careful that you dont crack the tank when you are opening the lighter. Once you get the piece out you can test it by putting the two wires a centimeter apart and pushing the button down. You should see the electricity go from one wire to the other.

Step 3: Prepare Your Case

I chose to 3D print my shocker case so that I could make is as small as possible and still fit the components. If you don't have access to a 3D printer you could use a Tic-Tac box or something similar. Your container will have to have 2 holes for the screws on top (They should be about 5 mm apart). There should be one hole on the bottom of your container for the button to come out of. Finally, there should be a hole on the side of your container for the wires to come out of. Step 4: Insulate One of the Screws

Now you will need to insulate one of the screws. This step is to prevent the electricity from jumping on the inside of your project. I used some heat shrink tube and cut it so it covers most of the bottom of the screw. If you do not have heat shrink tube you could also use electrical tape but this may be harder to do.

Step 5: Assemble Your Shocker

Now you can start to assemble your shocker. First, push the two screws into the case, if they do not fit then you can just drill the hole's bigger. Once your screws are in you can push the wires through the hole in the side of the case and then put the main piece into the middle of the case. Once everything is fit in place and lined up you can put the lid on.

Step 6: Attach Wires and Glue Screws in Place

Now you can go ahead and strip the wires so that you can wrap them around the top of the screws. Once the wires are wrapped around the screws push the button to make sure that the electricity is jumping between the screw heads. If it is working then you can go ahead and glue the screws in place with hot glue.

Side Note: If you would like a more permanent solution for the wires you could solder them but if you do this make sure you dont solder them while there in the case since it will melt the case.

Step 7: Glue the Lid On

Now that you have glues the screws in place and everything is working you can go ahead and glue the lid on with super glue. If you put to much hot glue on the screws you can always cut it off with scissors or a small cutting tool.

Step 8: Done!

Congrats, if you have made it to this step you are probably done and ready to taser your friends. You can sneak this tiny shocker around with you and surprise anyone in a matter of seconds. All you need to do to shock someone is touch both of the screws to them and press the button. Most of the time the shocker even works through shirts.
