Introduction: Modular Candle Holder

Follow these steps to make your own modular candle holder, when you are finished with this project you can adjust everything about the chandelier to your needs. You can add candles, shove them higher/lower put them further of each other add them on each other, you just get a lot of freedom. This is an easy proces with minimal cut's and har techniques, everybody can make it!

Choose what you want and how you want it.

Step 1: What Do You Need?

Materials:

  • 1 copper tube 22mm, length 1m (inside diameter doesn’t really matter
  • I will make this candle holder with 3 candles (you can choose how many you want, it’s modular).
  • Pla for the printer (choose a color you like, I made it in black.

Tools:

  • Hacksaw
  • Dremel 3D Builder (or any other 3D printer :-) )

Step 2: Print

Print the 3 Connector parts, you can choose how many times you print each part. Print enough then you can choose how you build it and how big. I printed each part 2 times and you can build a nice chandelier with those.

Don’t forget to print the base once.

Step 3: Cut

While the printer is going. Cut the copper pipes in pieces using the hack saw. Cut off 1 piece of 400mm, 3 pieces(or more) of 30mm and 3 pieces(or more) of 45mm.

Step 4: Base

If the 3D builder is done, get the base and press it on one side of the copper tube.

Step 5: Press on Print Parts

Press on the first print parts on the copper tube of 400mm, they should say click when u put them on. I recommend using the longest closest to the base tube.

Step 6: Add Copper Tubes

In this step we add the first copper tubes that hold the candles. Click the once of 30mm on when you want to put a candle in there. U can use the once of 45mm if you want to make a longer chain.

Step 7: Add Print Parts Again

Where you used the 45mm tubes, you can add another connector. This will make a longer “arm”, this will make the candle on this “arm” more maneuverable.

Step 8:

On this connectors put the last short tubes of 30mm you have laying around. Use the same system as you used in step 4.

Step 9: Candles in and Done!

Last step, you can fit the candles in all the tubes you want, you just need to make sure that the candle is stable, so play around with the arms until you have a good balance. You also can adjust the height of the candles by simply shoving them up or down. You can as well turn the candles in all directions.
