Step 1: Bundle and Bead Leather Cord
Using a rubber band placed at one end, bundle together the leather sections tightly. Place 9 Toho beads on one strand of leather. Repeat until all strands of leather have 10 beads. Tightly bundle the other end of the leather strands with the remaining rubber band.
Step 2: Glue Leather Into Bell Caps
Check to see that all leather strands are even at the ends. Place a small dot of glue on the end of the bundled leather and fit a machine cap over the ends. Press down firmly and wipe any glue that emerges around the edge. Repeat with remaining cap on other end of leather bundle. Allow glue to dry for 24 hours before proceeding.
Step 3: Tie Ribbon to Leather Ends
Twist one end of a second of ribbon and feed it through a loop on a bell cap. Pull ribbon through and tie it, leaving a long tail and a short, 1 inch, section. Repeat using other ribbon on the other bell cap.
Step 4: Create Beaded Loop With Pendant
String a 6 inch section of beading wire with 16-20 6-0 beads and one crimp bead. Thread this through the loop on the top of the Mood Swing pendant. Fit the ends of the wire back through the crimp, as shown, to create a loop. Check to make sure this loop fits around the leather section of the necklace and adjust as needed by removing or adding beads. Flatten crimp tightly with chain nose pliers. Fit pendant onto necklace.
