Introduction: Mouse Trap Car
Today i will show you how to make a mouse trap car.
Step 1: Step 1: Parts List
1 victor mousetrap
4 CDs
1 foam packing tray
2 BBQ skewers
2 1/4" Dowels
1 Straw
4 balloons
18 inches of string
5 zip ties
1 medium piece of cardboard
Step 2: Step 2 Preparing the Mousetrap
Take out the piece of fake cheese and get some pliers to take out the stables but keep the copper arm and the staple that looks like half of a rectangle.
Step 3: Step 3 Attaching the Mousetrap to the Foam Tray
Cut A/One V on the one of the short sides of your foam tray
Then get a hot glue gun
Then add hot glue to your mouse trap
Apply it to the foam tray
Both your cut V and the one on your mouse trap V touching
Step 4: Step 4 Make the Lever
Get one skewer
Break it down the middle with pliers
Then get your five zip ties
Put them on the right side of the mouse trap thing that's smacks down
Put the skewer through the five zip ties
Pull the zip ties so it doesn't move
Step 5: Step 5 Attaching the BBQ Sticks for the Wheels
Get the dowels and the hot glue gun
Then hot glue the dowels to the foam tray have it even with the dowels and tray
Then get a piece of cardboard and cut it into 4 small squares
Step 6: Step 6 Adding the Back Straw
Get your big piece of the straw you have left
Then hot glue the straw to the back of your car and put a skewer through that straw
Step 7: Step 7 Adding the Wheels
get 4 more cut pieces of cardboard and attach them to CDs you have
Hot glue them to the center of the CDs where the hole is
Then put a hole in the center of the cardboard with the pointed skewer
Then add some glue while its on the skewers that are in the straws
Step 8: Step 8 Adding the L Shaped Wire
Get the half of a rectangle shaped staple you should have kept during you taking apart the mousetrap
Then get your pliers and break the half of a rectangle into a L shaped wire with the bottom of the pliers where it can break
Then hot glue it to the skewer that is being held by the two straws and not the one big straw
This will be used for your string when you add it on
Step 9: Step 9 Adding the String
Get a string long enough to go over the car and is able to loop 2 times but is still long enough to go on the L shaped wire
Then loop your string tight on both ends of the string
Then get some medical tape and tape it to the skewer that is zip tied to your mouse trap
Step 10: Step 10 Adding the Tires
Get the two balloons and cut the blow part off and then cut off the middle and keep that it has to have both sides open and cut the bottom off but keep it and make that also have both sides open
Then get your fingers and open the ballon
Then put it around your CDs that are attached to your skewers
After this you have finished your mousetrap car.
P.S. Put the other looped side of the string on the L shaped wire and roll the wheels backwards to wind it up.
