My Dream Classroom

Hi, I am a Grade-12 highschool student, and for this instructables contest I have created a dream classroom infrastructure/design which is based on classrooms in a natural environment. It has been seen that usual classrooms are confined in modern buildings, but I wish to have classrooms in an open and primitive way. Having trees besides our classes can improve our productivity significantly which would not only provide us with oxygen but would also create a natural environment.

Why do we listen to biophony and white noise? To focus right, in similar manner the sounds from the nature would also improve our focus as they would provide us with some pleasant sounds. Having an improved study environment is essential for students. Also this is a resource friendly idea because having schools in nature would also reduce the cost of management of schools. Such classrooms would be helpful in places which are deprived of basic resources and lack funds and infrastructure.

Tinkercad served as an easy and good application to use and you all can also learn how to make such a design.

Step 1: Base

Lets first make a base of 20x8 units, and try keeping a solid dark colour so that when you put the elements on it, they appear in a much nicer manner.

Step 2: Steps for Chairs

Now in a classroom its very important to have steps so that when a teacher is teaching, the board and teacher is visible to each and every student, Hence we can put on the steps by adjusting the height of the blocks, here I have used cuboidal blocks to maintain symmetry. I have used brown colour, you can use as per your choice.

On the sides you can add two blue bars representing an irrigation system for the plants and trees so that there is no dehydration in plants and also this water which is used will be the water from rain water harvesting system.

Step 3: TREES !!!

Now in order to add trees to the design, you need to first find the tree element which can be searched in the Structures and Scenery option. Properly align the trees in such a manner that they are symmetric and are aligned just next to the water source, for proper irrigation.

Step 4: Adding the Shade

Now this step is a bit tricky. You need to chose the shape of a half cut cylinder and then change its size as shown in the image above. After you chose the shape, since we need the shade to be hollow we need to use a similar shape and decrease its size a bit and then align it in a way as shown in the images above. Once your alignment is proper, convert the shape to hole and it group the two shapes. This way we created a shade on top which is hollow from inside.

Step 5: Adding a Screen

Now you can also colour the shade (I liked yellow). After that its time to put a screen so that it improves the quality of learning among students. I have also put the logo of autodesk, which signifies that the teacher is taking a masterclass about autodesk and their services.

I would prefer using black colour because screens are usually black only.

Step 6: Chairs

Now we need to add chair on the steps which we created in the second step. I have used the chair shown in the image, its upto you which kind of chair you want in your classroom. Place them in a symmetrical manner and for that I would recommend you to first place the chairs in the first row and then group them and copy paste them on the other steps.

Step 7: Teacher

Now in this step you need to search a female/male teacher from the characters option from the bar at right. I have used a female teacher and I have also placed a cupboard on the right which can be used by the teacher to keep their belongings and other supplies.

Step 8: You Are Done
