Introduction: My Turkey Mount
For this project I wanted to remember it because it was the first turkey I got when hunting. I got the turkey May 2, 2020 with my older brother, Greg. I would try to make a mount with the fan of the turkey, beard, feet, and the shotgun shell I used.

Step 1: Killing the Turkey
To get the turkey, I had to wake up at 5:00 A.M. and go out to a hunting blind with my brother, Greg. We sat there for about 2 hours and then heard a gobble. He called it in and from about 30 yards away I shot. It dropped to the ground and I ran to get it.
Step 2: Getting the Base
For the base I would use a 12inX12inX1/2in piece of plywood. I used a table saw and cut it out.
Step 3: Putting on a Stain
I chose to put on a dark oak stain on the base to match the color of the turkey fan. I used 2 coats on each side and waited for it to dry.
Step 4: Shining the Wood
I used polyurethane to make the wood look real nice and slick. I used 3 coats on every side and started on my next step.
Step 5: Fitting the Beard
I used a 3/8in bit to drill into the top of the shotgun shell and in each side for the dowel rod. After that I put the beard into the shell.
Step 6: Holes for the Feet
I chose to drill into the feet of the turkey with a 3/8 in bit.
Step 7: Attaching the Feet to the Shell
To attach the feet to the shell I used a 3 in piece of dowel rod and super glued each end into the hole in the feet.
Step 8: Connecting All the Parts
Finally I superglued the feet on the fan and then the fan onto the base and it was ready to be hung.
