Introduction: Natural Lip Balm - 5 Ingredients

About: Hello, my name is Auroris. Every day we have the opportunity to learn new things, to rethink tired processes, and to improve the way we work.

Hi friends,

I want to share with you how to make Amazing DIY Lip Balm

Will use natural & organic ingredients, so your lips will be softer and smoother, and reused containers. Recycling your empties is free and it's one of the ways to build good karma :)

Step 1: Ingredients

  • Natural Beeswax
  • 100% Organic Coconut Oil
  • Liquid Vitamin E Softgel Capsules
  • Jojoba Oil
  • Shea Butter (Karité)
  • Essential oil (optional)

Lip Balm Containers: used or new

Step 2: Reuse Old Containers

You can buy new containers or challenge yourself to keep lip balm/lip gloss containers. You can really reuse them!

Tip: For reuse container: You have to disassemble it, clean off remaining balm, and wash the pieces in a warm or boiling water.

Step 3: Beeswax 100% Pure and Organic

Step 4: Recipe

Take a bowl and add:

15g Beeswax

15g (2 full teaspoons) Solid Coconut Oil

10g (4 teaspoons) Liquid Jojoba Oil

5g (1 teaspoon) Shea Butter

2 Capsules Vitamin E (puncture the capsules and squeeze)

Tip 1: Keep 1:1:1 proportion beeswax, coconut oil & other oils
Tip 2: Add a chunk of your favorite lipstick and you will obtain Tinted Lip Balm

Step 5:

Take a pot, add 1 cup water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, put the bowl inside (be careful that no water gets inside the bowl) and slowly melt the beeswax & oils, stir it slightly to let the heat melt it naturally.

This prevents you from overheating your base.

Tip: Add essential oils after removing from heat.

Step 6: Pour the Mixture Into the Upright Tubes.

If you have upright tube container, pour the lip balm mixture carefully into it using a teaspoon.

If you are using the container of same type (EOS, like an egg). Join the upper and the middle parts. You will have an upside-down container, ready to fill. Pour the lip balm mixture into the lid, filling it just past the grating.

Step 7: And There You Have It!

Allow the lip balm until solid (about 20 minutes in the fridge)
