Introduction: Ninja Stars

These stars are fun and easy to make. They provide a lot of playtime for your kids, and they are fun to throw around .

Step 1: Gather Materials

You will need:

- At least 2 pieces of paper (8.5 by 11 inches)

- Folding skills

(- Scissors, if you cant figure out how to rip in a straight line)

Also, for the first 6 steps, you will need to do the steps twice, once on each sheet of paper. (Remember, you have to use 2 sheets of paper to make the star)

Step 2: Make a Triangle

8.5 by 11 inch paper will not fold directly from corner to corner, so you have to fold it as seen above. Make the fold as precise as possible.

Remember, do this to 2 sheets of paper!

Step 3: Fold the Rectangle at the Bottom Up

This creates a straight line to cut up. If you do not have scissors, then if you fold along the line multiple times, then the paper along that line will become weak, and easy to tear in a straight line. Again, you have to do this to the other sheet of paper as well.

Step 4: Tear the Paper!!

In the end, you should have a long rectangle, and a square sheet of paper. Do this to the other sheet of paper as well.

Step 5: Fold the Square Paper in Half

Unfortunately, the rectangle is not used. You may throw it away.

Fold the square sheet of paper in half, and then unfold it. Easy peasy. Remember, do this to both sheets of paper.

Step 6: More Folds

Next, you will fold each side to the fold that you made in the middle. Then, fold the paper in half. This is the last thing that you will do to each if the papers, the rest is all different.

Step 7: Opposites!!

Set the 2 rectangles that you made from the square sheets of paper like the first picture above. Then follow the directions:

Fold the corners of the papers up. Make sure that you are doing the fold opposite, because otherwise, the star will not go together. In the end, they should look like the last picture, with the papers not matching up, even when you try to turn one in every which way.

Step 8: Make a Z

Taking one side of the papers that you folded, take the corner, and make a triangle such as the one in the first picture above. do the same, on the other side. If you get something that looks take the shape in the second paper above, the you are correct. If you got something different, try again. Do this to both of the papers.

Step 9: Tucking the Spikes

Place one of the papers on top of the other, making sure that the ends of the "Z" are not touching. Then, take the end of one of the ones on the bottom and tuck in in to the top. Do the same to the other end. Flip the star over, and do the same on the other side

Step 10: All Done!

You are finished!! If you feel like the star is unsafe because there are small children running around, round out the tips with a pair of scissors.
