Introduction: No-Bake Golden Raisin Walnut Protein Balls

About: I am a master's student studying technical writing.

Looking for a quick snack to take on the go? These easy, no-bake, golden raisin walnut protein balls are perfect for post-workout sessions or a mid-afternoon energy boost. They are also easy to meal prep (no oven required) and store well in both the refrigerator and freezer!

My recipe yields 10-14 protein balls and takes 25 minutes to complete. Each ball packs approximately 166 calories, 6 grams of protein, 10 grams of healthy fat, and 15 grams of carbohydrates.

Step 1: Ingredients

1 cup rolled oats

1 cup organic creamy peanut butter, stirred to incorporate excess liquid

¼ cup honey

2 scoops vanilla protein powder (I used Orgain in this recipe)

3 tablespoons golden raisins

2 tablespoons walnuts, shelled and chopped

Almond milk (optional)

Step 2: Mix the Base Ingredients

Place oats, peanut butter, honey, and protein powder in a large bowl. Use a spoon and mix until all ingredients are incorporated into the dough.

Step 3: Add Golden Raisins and Walnuts

Use a spoon to stir golden raisins and walnuts into the dough. If the dough seems crumbly or too dry, add a splash of almond milk and stir again.

Step 4: Knead the Dough

With your hands, knead the dough until ingredients are well-combined.

Step 5: Roll and Refrigerate!

With your hands, roll and firmly pack the dough into balls (they should fit in the center of the palm of your hand). Transfer to a plate. Refrigerate for 10 minutes before you enjoy, or freeze for later!
