Introduction: Paper Rosettes

About: I will be sharing with you helpful videos about cardmaking, papercrafting, painting, some occasional journaling and more.

I made these pretty paper rosettes while working on a project as I was looking for something to embellish a card. They’re so easy to make and it’s difficult to just stop making them.

All you need is some 12 x 12 ” paper (I used the gorgeous V&A paper pad from Trimcraft), some Kraft card, a few buttons, a bit of glue and a hot glue gun.

Step 1: Video

If you want to see how I made these rosettes, I invite you to watch this video.

Step 2: Cut & Fold

Cut a 3/4″ x 12″ strip of paper. For me this is the perfect size for these rosettes, but you can make them any size you want. If you decide to make them much bigger you might need more strips of paper glued together, as you will need more length.

Score every 1/4″ and accordion fold. You can fold it without scoring if you’d like, but I think scoring makes it easier.

Step 3: Glue

Glue the ends together creating a circle.

Step 4: Shape

Push down the circle to lay flat and with your fingers keep it gathered towards the middle.

Use your glue gun to glue the middle and add the button.

Step 5: Finish

Turn around and glue a Kraft circle (I cut 2 circles, glued them together to be more sturdy and affixed it to the back of the rosette). To add it to your card just add glue or double sided tape on the back of the rosette.
